Sit Best Nanny Information What to Expect as a Nanny We Sit Best is a nanny referral service. We have placed many nannies since 1984. No fee is ever charged to our job applicants. Our clients are professionals who work in the Fresno/Clovis area or the surrounding communities in the Central Valley of California. These families are looking for full-time or part-time nannies. The majority of our nannies are live-out. However, occasionally a live-in nanny may be needed. Live-in nannies salaries include room and board. Usually a separate bedroom is provided. Your salary is worked out between you and
the family. Usually a nanny earns $9 -12 per hour. Your salary will
depend on your childcare experience and education. Most nannies work 5 days per week unless other arrangements are made with the parents. Also, some families do travel and take their children with them. You may be asked to accompany the family on these trips. As a nanny, your time and attention will be devoted to the children. However, you may be requested to do light housekeeping tasks relating to the children such as picking up toys, general straightening of the house, children's laundry, preparing meals for children and other responsibilities discussed between you and the parents. Qualifications To be accepted as a We Sit Best candidate, you must meet the following qualifications: 1. Love of children. 2. Excellent Health. 3. At least a years experience working full-time in a child care setting, i.e. as a nanny, daycare, church nursery, school system. 4. Available to work Mon - Fri or 2 - 3 days a week. 5. Excellent, verifiable child care references. 6. Non smoker 7. Clean driving record. 8. Carry auto liability insurance. 9. U.S. citizen or proof of permanent residence. 10. Be available for personal interview. If you meet these requirements, you will then need to contact us to schedule a personal face-to-face interview with our director.
